"Angulimala"
Angulimala slew whomever he came across and made a garland of their finger become a hung round his neck. Henceforth he became known as Angulimala. His mother, having heard that the king Pasenatikosala had ordered the soldiers to catch him dead, started off to warm him. The Buddha intercepted him on his way to slay his mother. He ran toward to Buddha, shouting, "Stop Samana (monk) - Stop Samana!". On hearing the reply, "I have already stopped, but what about you?", Angulimala was puzzled. "You're lying!" he shouted even louder. "You're walking, but you said you had stopped. I had stopped but you said I had not.", came the Buddha's reply: "I have stopped doing evil." Angulimala threw away his sword and approached the Buddha.
